Early American Prescut (AEPC) was made by the Anchor Hocking Glass Co. from 1960 through 1999, although most pieces were discontinued by 1978. All Anchor Hocking's catalogs have EAPC listed with a 700 line number. The EAPC pattern is also known as Star of David. There are other Prescut pieces made by Anchor Hocking, but to be the Star of David (700 line) it has to have the star in the design.
The other Prescut patterns are commonly known as Oatmeal and Pineapple. The Oatmeal line got its name from being distributed in boxes of Crystal Wedding Oats. It looks quite a bit like the Star of David line but doesn't feature the star. Pineapple appeared in the 1941 catalog which was 20 years before AEPC was introduced. |
